Smart delivery

Fewer empty trips, less wasted water

WATR is building AI that plans tanker routes and sizes each delivery to what you need. For you, that means deliveries you can plan around. For Jordan, it means less fuel burned and less water lost along the way.

Every tanker trip counts in Jordan

Jordan is one of the most water-scarce countries in the world. In many neighbourhoods piped water arrives only on set days, so homes, buildings and businesses top up their tanks from water tankers.

Many of those trips are still arranged by phone call and habit. Trucks drive back empty, routes double back on themselves, and water arrives too early or too late. Each wasted trip costs fuel, time and water.

What smart delivery is built to do for you

  • Homes

Delivery times you can plan around, with your tanker tracked to the door.

  • Businesses

Deliveries planned around how much water you use, so you are not caught short or paying for trips you did not need.

  • Transporters

Routes that group nearby orders, so drivers spend less time and fuel driving empty.

  • Water planning in Jordan

Delivery patterns that show where and when water runs short, to help plan supply and infrastructure.

How the intelligence loop works

Each delivery teaches the system something, and the next plan starts from what really happened.

  1. 01

    Orders and locations come in

Each order tells us where water is needed, how much and by when.

  2. 02

    The model plans the run

Our planning model groups nearby orders, sets the order of stops and sizes each load to the tank it is going to.

  3. 03

    Tankers deliver

Drivers follow the planned route in the driver app, and customers follow the tanker in real time.

  4. 04

    Every trip feeds back

Arrival times, distances and volumes go back into the model, so the next plan is based on real trips.

The WATR intelligence loopOrders and locations go into a planning model that decides routes and volumes. Tankers deliver, and delivery data flows back into the model to improve the next plan. The aim is fewer empty kilometres and less wasted water.1Orders and locations2Plan routes and volumes3Tankers deliver4Data improves the next planLess wasteFewer empty kilometresLoads that match real need

What we are building

We plan to train and run these models on GPUs. WATR is a member of the NVIDIA Inception programme for startups.

  1. 01

    Route planning

Ordering stops so each tanker covers fewer kilometres, especially empty ones.

  2. 02

    Load matching

Matching each load to the size of the customer’s tank and how much water they use.

  3. 03

    Demand forecasting

Learning when and where water runs short, so tankers are in the right area before people run out.

  4. 04

    Planning insight

Turning delivery records, in aggregated form, into a clear picture of where supply falls short. Our goal is to share that picture with the people who plan Jordan’s water infrastructure.

Built on the WATR platform
